The Youth Aid Mentoring Initiative is looking for 7 Scholars Academy girls to serve as paid one-on-one mentors to elementary and middle school girls. This is a great opportunity to build your college resume while earning some extra money!

Thanks to everyone who showed up for our Saturday Open House! I have handed over all outstanding schedule changes to our new Scholars Academy Counselor, Ana Sevillanos (asevillanos@dadeschools.net), who has assured me that everything will be processed during the first week of school.
I just wanted to remind everyone of our meetings on Thursday, August 30:
The Scholars Club will have its first meeting at 2:40 PM in Room 416, where we will discuss traditions, goals and upcoming officer elections.
All parents and community members are invited to the Media Center at 6:00 PM for an informal open forum. I want to know your priorities for this year so that I can make them my own. In fact, if you would like to see a specific item on the agenda for discussion, begin the conversation by posting a comment now!
